Wow. How do I even begin?? This has been a trip FULL of memories! Now remember, I’m here with my mother and my aunt….both of which are complete nuts…and I mean that in the most respectful way possible.
So, as you know, we conducted a seminar in Spring Hill, TN on Monday. Here is a picture of me talking:
And here is a picture of my Aunt Shelia at the product table:
Then Tuesday, we drove to the Grand Ole Opry area and saw SO much! We went through the Grand Ole Opry Museum, toured the Gaylord Grand Ole Opry Resort, and we walked the ENTIRE Opry Mills Mall. It was so much fun and SO beautiful! Here are some pictures:
Today, we went to Hurricane Mills, TN, the home of Loretta Lynn. We toured her plantation home, doll museum, boutique, coal mine, and gift shops. My aunt is not just a fan…but one of those kind of fans that gets arrested for stalking! She is so head-over-heels NUTS about Loretta Lynn…and God help Loretta if my aunt ever actually gets to personally meet her! We took her to Loretta’s concert back in 2004 for her birthday, and I thought my aunt went nuts then…but today beat that by a mile. At one point, she was standing on the steps of Loretta’s plantation home, and she was shaking. I asked what was wrong…and she said, “I don’t know. I’m just so nervous. Do you think she may have stood right here?” She was seriously shaking like she was scared to death. It was so funny…but at the same time, it was so exciting to see some of her dreams coming true. She even made the comment, “Ok. Now I can die. I’ve done it all.” Seeing her so happy truly brought tears to my eyes.
If you read my other post…then you know about my mom’s adventure outside the hotel in her Christmas pajamas and flip flops. Well, this morning, she went to the hotel’s exercise room and worked out… with big rollers in her hair!
These girls are a constant source of entertainment for me! The only problem is that I think I may need to invest in some Depends for the rest of the trip. Laughing this much is taking its toll on my bladder!!
More to come!
